You can find Bell Quartz Watch Shop over by the Lati Plot area. We’re situated inside the Prakash Anodizing Works at 5/6, right near the Bharatiya Chamber. It’s a bit of a specific location, so you have to look for the signs. We’ve been here for quite some time, dealing with watches and timepieces. It’s a small space, filled with tools and parts. It’s not a big department store. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the ticking of a hundred different clocks if it’s quiet enough. The Lati Plot area is always busy with people moving back and forth, but inside the shop, things are a bit more focused. We don’t do a lot of advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them where we were. We spend our days hunched over workbenches, looking at small gears and batteries. It’s quiet work that takes a lot of patience. Sometimes a repair is easy, and sometimes it takes all afternoon. We don’t use any fancy systems to keep track of things, just our notebooks and our memory. It’s a traditional way of doing things, but it has served us well so far. The neighborhood has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a small part of it over the years. We just keep our heads down and keep the watches running for whoever walks through the door when they need a hand.
