Maruti Packers

We are located over at Block 190 on the road that goes from Luna to Padra. It is a bit of a dusty stretch of road, especially when the big trucks go by on their way to Jambusar. Maruti Packers has been operating out of this spot for a while now. The building is basically a large shed where we keep all the packing materials and boxes. It gets really hot under the tin roof during the middle of the day, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. There is always a lot of tape and brown paper lying around. It is not a place for sitting down and relaxing. We are usually on our feet, moving crates or loading up a vehicle. The ground is a bit uneven and we have to be careful with the forklifts. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we have a good rhythm. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a small corner with a table and a logbook to keep track of everything. It is a tough job sometimes, but it keeps us busy. The wind blows the dust in through the doors, but that is just part of being out here on the main road. We just keep our heads down and finish the day's work before the sun goes down and it gets dark.
