We are up on the second floor here in Vadodara. If you know Raopura Main Road, you know it gets really busy with all the traffic and people moving around throughout the day. Our place is right above the Baroda Motor Training School. It is actually quite funny because you can hear the instructors talking to students sometimes when the windows are open. We look right out toward Suryanarayan Baug, which is nice when you need a break from looking at the computer screen or papers. Most of us have been working here for a long time now. We do not really do fancy meetings or anything like that. Usually, it is just us handling whatever work comes in that day. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so you really have to watch your step when you come up. We have grown used to the noise from the street below. It is just part of being in this part of town. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just sit and wait it out with some chai. It is a plain office, nothing too special to look at. We keep our files organized as best as we can, though things get a little messy when we are really busy. Raopura is a good spot because everything is close by. If we need something from the market, it is just a short walk. It feels like home more than an office.
