Morden Forgings-Alloys Industries

Our shop, Morden Forgings-Alloys Industries, is located over at Plot No. 742. It’s right in the middle of the Savali Industrial Estate, which is a busy part of the GIDC. If you come by, you’ll hear the hammers and the heat of the furnace before you even step inside. Forging is heavy work, and it’s loud. We’ve got a small team here, and most of us have been doing this for a long time. The floor is always a bit dark from the soot, and the walls have seen better days, but the equipment is what matters. We deal with various alloys, and it takes a bit of patience to get the temperature just where it needs to be. It’s not a clean job, that’s for sure. My hands are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning. We take our lunch under the shade of the tree out front if it’s not too dusty. The trucks come and go all day long on this road. We just focus on the metal and making sure the shapes come out like they’re supposed to. It’s a bit of a grind, but we like the routine of it. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just basic forging work that needs to get done. The heavy leather aprons we wear get stiff with age, but they protect us from the sparks. Sometimes a food vendor stops his cart nearby and we get some hot snacks. By the time we shut down the furnace for the day, everyone is pretty tired and ready to head back.
