Gigal Industries

Gigal Industries is over at Plot No. E-13 on F Road in the Gidc Estate. It is a pretty basic setup. We have a main work area and a small section for storage. F Road is always packed with traffic, so we try to get our shipping done early in the morning before the gridlock starts. Inside the building, it’s mostly just the sound of the cooling fans and the occasional radio playing in the background. We do a lot of general industrial work, which means no two days are exactly the same. One week we might be busy with a big batch of components, and the next we are just doing maintenance on our own equipment. The walls are painted a dull grey and we have some old metal desks that have been here since the eighties. We don't really have a boss who sits in a private office; everyone is usually out on the floor doing something. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the raw materials and turn them into something useful. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when there’s a heavy storm, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. That is just how life is at E-13.
