Shree Kalyanrayji Shrungar Center

You can find Shree Kalyanrayji Shrungar Center right on Bank Road in the Mandvi area. We are positioned directly opposite Mehta Pole, and the Kalyanraiji Temple is just a short walk away. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people every single day. Our shop is where we keep all the different items for worship and decoration. It’s a small space, and we have shelves lined from the floor to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to reach the top shelves without a stool. We've been here for quite some time, and the building itself is an older one with a lot of character. The floor is slightly uneven, but we don't mind it. We spend our mornings cleaning the glass cases and arranging the new stock that arrives from the wholesalers. It is a quiet kind of work, mostly. We don't have big flashy lights or loud music. Most of our customers are locals from the Mandvi neighborhood or people visiting the temple for morning prayers. We often sit on the small porch outside when business is slow, just watching the bikes and cows go by on Bank Road. It’s a tight-knit community here, so we end up chatting with the neighbors a lot. We don't really do any advertising. People just know we are here across from the pole. We keep the shop open late on festival days because that’s when it gets really busy. Sometimes we run out of incense sticks by midday.
