Vinmech Industires

Vinmech Industires sits on Plot No. 768, right on C-road in the Gidc Ind. Estate. Having a spot on C-road is actually quite handy because the trucks have an easier time backing in than they do on some of the narrower side streets. The building itself is a plain grey structure. Inside, it’s mostly open space where we keep the machinery. It’s a bit chilly in the winter mornings, so we all tend to wear extra layers until the sun warms the roof up. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. There is just a small wooden desk near the entrance where someone usually sits to log who is coming and going. We spend most of our hours making sure the mechanical parts are working correctly. It’s a lot of oil and metal shavings, to be honest. We’ve had the same group of guys working here for a long time, so there isn't much need for long meetings or instructions. Everyone just knows what they are supposed to do when they walk through the door at eight. We eat lunch together in the back area, usually bringing food from home. It’s a quiet life in a way, despite the noise of the estate. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local business doing mechanical work and trying to keep our heads down and do a decent job every day.
