Being in the Gidc Ind. Estate means there is always noise and movement around us. Viko Fe-dazo Paper is situated at Plot No. 809. We have stacks of paper everywhere you look. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a roll or a pallet. The windows stay high up on the walls to let the light in without taking up space for storage. We’ve got a couple of old fans that rattle when they’re on high, but they help when it gets humid. Most of the guys have worked here for years and they know exactly how the machines sound when they’re running right. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out from the estate roads. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading in the sun. We don't have a reception area really, just a small desk near the front where we keep the logs. Sometimes the dust from the paper gets on everything, so we spend Saturday mornings wiping things down. It’s just the way a paper business is. We’ve stayed at Plot 809 because it’s close to the main gate of the estate. It makes it easier for the drivers to find us. We don’t overthink things here, we just handle the paper and keep the orders moving daily.
