We are set up at Plot No. 340-b-13 inside the GIDC Industrial Estate. It is a crowded part of town with lots of manufacturing plants all around us. Being designers in an industrial area might seem a little strange to some people, but it actually works out quite well. Many of the people we work for have their businesses just a few blocks away. We spend most of our hours sitting at desks or leaning over large tables looking at sketches. It is not a very glamorous job. The office is usually covered in rolls of paper and various drawings taped up on the walls. We try to keep it neat, but when a project gets moving, things tend to get a bit disorganized. We aren't like those big firms in the city that have glass walls and fancy coffee machines. We just have this small space where we get our work done. A few of us sit together and talk through different ideas until we find something that makes sense. Sometimes we argue about the details, but that is just part of the process. We have been at this GIDC location for quite a while now. Most people in the estate know where to find us. It’s a very practical setup. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the plans are right. Some days are quiet, then suddenly everyone needs help.
