We are set up at Plot No. 946 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. This is where Unp Polyvalves India Pvt. Ltd. operates from every day. Being in an industrial estate means everything is about utility. There aren't many trees around, just a lot of sheds and warehouses. We focus on valves made from plastics and polymers. It’s specialized work, and it can get quite hot when the moulding machines are running full tilt. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings from the production process. We have a small office section at the front where we handle the orders and the shipping paperwork, but the real work happens in the back. It’s noisy and there is always a forklift moving something around. We’ve been at Plot 946 for a long time, and we know the guys at the surrounding plots pretty well. We share the same problems like power cuts or heavy rains flooding the roads. It’s not a glamorous job, but these valves are needed in a lot of places where metal just won't work. We spend our time checking sizes and making sure the seals are tight. It’s straightforward work for us. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make valves that work and try to get them shipped out on time to whoever needs them for their own factory setups.
