Umiya Fabricators

Over at Plot No. 986-20-2-b, things stay pretty loud most of the time. That’s just the nature of what we do here at Umiya Fabricators. We’ve got the welding machines, the cutters, and a lot of raw metal sitting around waiting to be turned into something useful. It’s a bit of a messy job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. There is grease, dust, and the smell of hot metal everywhere. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, if someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes out to see what’s needed. We take the drawings or the ideas people bring in and try to make them real. Sometimes the measurements are tricky and we have to spend a lot of time getting it just right. It’s hard work, and your back definitely feels it by Friday. The shop floor is always full of projects in different stages of being finished. We don’t spend much time worrying about the office looking nice because we’re mostly out there with the tools. Being in this part of the estate means we have plenty of neighbors doing similar things, so there’s a lot of traffic. We just keep our heads down and get the fabrication work done as it comes in.
