The Makarpura Industrial Estate Co-op Bank Ltd.

Our bank is located at Plot No. 75 within the Gidc Ind. Estate in Makarpura. Being a co-operative bank, we have a very close relationship with the local industrial community here. We have been at this same Plot No. 75 for many years, helping small businesses and their employees with their money. The office isn't fancy at all. It has some sturdy counters, a few desks for the officers, and some chairs that have been around for a while. We don't go in for the big glass walls and modern art you see in city banks. Most people who come in are workers from the neighboring units who need to send money home or check their balances. We try to make the process as easy as possible for them. Our staff knows many of the customers by their first names, which makes the whole thing feel a bit more personal. It can get quite hot and noisy in the afternoons, but that is just part of being in an industrial estate. We focus on the practical side of banking. We handle loans for small machines and help people save up for their future. We are just a local bank doing what needs to be done for the people who work right next door to us. It is not about being the biggest, it is just about being here when someone needs to talk about their account or get a small loan fixed up.
