Tejal Industries

Our place, Tejal Industries, is located at Plot No. 749 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a busy area and sometimes the traffic getting here in the morning is a bit of a headache, but once we’re inside, we just focus on the work. We handle various industrial tasks and the machines are usually running from eight till late evening. The floor is always covered with bits and pieces of whatever we’re making that week. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that, so if you come by, you’ll probably just see one of us covered in grease or dust. It is practical work for practical people. We’ve had some of the same equipment for a long time, and we know exactly how it sounds when it’s running right. Plot 749 is just another square in this big estate, but it’s where we spend most of our lives. We don't really have a fancy philosophy about what we do. We just make parts, pack them up, and move on to the next pile of work. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the highlight of the afternoon when we take a ten-minute break. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy. The neighbors are alright too, mostly other shops doing the same kind of stuff we are. We just keep our heads down and keep moving forward.
