My studio is located at Plot No. C-1-61-a inside the Gidc Ind. Estate. It might seem a bit odd to have Studio Ved Gupta in the middle of all these factories, but I like the noise and the energy of the place. It’s a single room that I’ve turned into a workspace for my projects. There are usually sketches and half-finished pieces leaning against the walls. The light isn't great during the afternoon, so I have to use a few extra lamps to see what I'm doing. Most people around here are making car parts or chemicals, so they look at me a bit funny when they see me carrying canvases or tools. I don't mind. It's a quiet enough spot once you're inside. I spend most of my time here, even on weekends. The rent is decent for this part of the estate, which helps me keep going. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so I have to cover everything up at night. I don't have a secretary or anyone to answer the phone, so I usually just get back to people when I have a break. It's a bit messy, with paint and scraps of material everywhere, but it's where I feel most at home. If the gate is unlocked, I’m usually inside working on something new. It’s not a fancy gallery, just a place for me to create things while the industrial world carries on right outside.
