Shreyas Rubber Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Plot No. 900-2c in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It is a standard industrial unit where we do all our rubber manufacturing and processing work. The smell of processed rubber is pretty strong, but it is something you stop noticing after you have worked here for a few days. We have various large molds and heavy machines taking up almost all of the floor space. It is a busy environment with people moving things around throughout the day. We are not a big corporate company with a lobby or a fancy receptionist at the front. Usually, if someone comes by the gate, they will just find us working near the machines in the back. We have been at Plot 900-2c for a long time and we have seen many other businesses in the Gidc estate come and go. Some days we are completely buried in new orders and other days we are just doing maintenance on the machines to keep them running. It is a practical and no-nonsense kind of place. We focus mostly on the production side of the business. The office is just a small corner where we keep our files and handle the daily billing. It often gets very hot near the presses, so we have to keep the industrial fans running all day long. We do not put much effort into how the building looks because we are too busy with the work.
