R R Moulds

Our workshop, R R Moulds, is tucked away in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate in Makarpura. If you know Vadodara, you know how busy this area gets. We are right at plot 870. It is a noisy place with the sound of machines running most of the day. There is always the smell of oil and metal in the air. We spend a lot of time looking at designs and trying to get the molds just right. It is dusty work and your clothes usually end up with some grease on them by lunchtime. The address also mentions being across from the hockey stadium in Begumpet, which means we have to manage things between these locations. We have been in this spot for a while now. The space is filled with heavy equipment and bits of metal everywhere. It is not the kind of place you come to see a fancy showroom. We just have our tools and our benches. Sometimes we stay late because a job needs finishing or a machine needs fixing before the next shift. The heat in the estate can be something else during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. The trucks come in and out of the estate all day long, making it quite a lively place to be. We do not spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our day is spent on the floor. It is straightforward work.
