Purav Jewelpack

Purav Jewelpack is located at Plot No. C-1/879/2 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. Our work is a bit different from the heavy chemical plants nearby. We deal with packaging, so the place is usually filled with stacks of boxes and rolls of material. It can look like a maze inside if you do not know your way around. We have a few machines that run most of the day, making that rhythmic clicking sound. It is a bit cleaner here than in some other parts of the estate, but it is still an industrial shop. We spend a lot of time checking the edges and the printing to make sure everything looks okay. The office is just a small partitioned space where we keep the computer and the records. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, which gives us a chance to sit outside and chat for a minute. The neighbors are mostly friendly, and we help each other out with things like moving heavy pallets or sharing tools. We are not a big corporation with a board of directors. It is just a family-run kind of thing where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We just come in, do the work, and try to stay organized in the middle of all the cardboard. It is a busy life but we enjoy the pace of it.
