Prime Corrugating Industries

Our factory is located in the GIDC estate in Makarpura, right at Vadodara. If you come by, you’ll hear the noise of the machines from the street. We make corrugated boxes and sheets. It’s a hot place to work, especially in the summer when the metal roof picks up all the heat. There are piles of brown paper and stacks of finished boxes everywhere you look. It’s not the cleanest place because of all the paper dust and the ink we use for printing on the cardboard. Prime Corrugating Industries is basically just a big shed where we get the orders done. We have a small corner screened off with some plywood that serves as the office. That’s where we keep the invoices and talk to the guys who come to pick up the goods. Sometimes a machine breaks down and everything stops while we try to fix it ourselves. It can be frustrating but that is just part of the business. We have a few guys who have been with us for years and know exactly how to run the rollers. We don’t have a website or a marketing team. We just take orders over the phone or from people who stop by the estate. It is a lot of heavy lifting and manual work. At the end of the day, we are usually covered in some kind of glue or dust, but the orders go out on time most of the time.
