We operate out of Plot No. 185-b in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a standard spot among many others, but we like it here. The gates are usually open early because the morning air is better for moving heavy stock. We manufacture various metal components and parts. There’s always the sound of grinding or metal hitting metal in the background. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We wear boots and heavy shirts because that's what the job requires. Most of our day is spent checking measurements and making sure the lathes are running right. We’ve got a small shed for the finished goods and a corner where we keep the scrap. It’s a bit cluttered, I’ll admit, but we know where everything is. The estate gets busy with trucks during the midday heat, making it a bit of a scramble sometimes. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy logo on the wall. We just rely on making things that don't break. If a customer isn't happy, they tell us directly and we fix it on the spot. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We have some long-term clients who have been coming to this plot for years. They know we're just regular people trying to do a decent job every day. The work is tough, but there’s a sense of satisfaction when a big order is finally loaded up and the day is done.
