Om Buffing Works

Down at Plot No. 905-1-8 in Gidc Ind. Estate, you’ll find us working away at Om Buffing Works. It’s a loud place, to be honest. There is always the sound of machines humming and wheels spinning. We handle a lot of metal pieces that need that final touch before they can be sent off. It’s messy work. You end up with dust on your clothes by the end of the shift, no matter how careful you are. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a practical workspace where we get things done. We started out with just a couple of buffing stations and slowly added more as we got busier. Our days are pretty repetitive, but that's what it takes to get the finish right on the parts we get. Some days the piles of work seem like they won't end, but we just keep going through them one by one. It’s mostly local guys working here, and we all know the routine. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. If you come by, you'll probably find us right there on the floor. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we need to do. We just make sure the items leaving our door are smooth and ready for whatever comes next for them. It’s just basic manual work that we've gotten used to over the years.
