Maruti Buffing Works

Working at Maruti Buffing Works means you go home with a lot of dust on your clothes every single day. We are located over at Plot No. 738 in the Gidc Ind. Estate, right in the middle of all the noise. Buffing isn't clean work, and our shop reflects that. There are wheels and compound bars everywhere, and the floors get slippery if you aren't careful. We’ve had this spot for some time now. The neighbors are mostly into metalwork too, so there is always a constant hum of engines and grinding coming from every direction. It’s a busy life here. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things moving, though you can barely hear it over the machinery. Plot 738 isn't the easiest to find if the trucks are parked out front blocking the sign, but we are usually there from morning until late evening. Some days are slower than others when the material doesn't arrive on time, but mostly we are kept busy with whatever comes through the door. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with our masks on. It is honest work, and we just keep at it day after day. The estate is crowded, but it feels like home after you’ve spent enough years here walking these same dusty roads.
