Laxmi Machine Tools

Our shop, Laxmi Machine Tools, is out at Plot No. 605-a10 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. If you have ever been to this estate, you know it is a bit of a maze with all the different plots and sheds. We’ve been at this specific location for a long time, and we know most of the people on our street. It is a loud place with the sound of metal and engines running all day long, but that is just part of the job. Our unit isn't the biggest one around, but it fits everything we need. We spend most of our time out on the shop floor dealing with the machines. It gets quite hot in there, especially during the middle of the day, so we have a couple of big industrial fans that stay on all the time. We don't really have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you will just find one of us covered in a bit of oil or dust. We like it that way because it means we are actually working. The roads in the GIDC can be pretty bad after it rains, with big puddles everywhere, but we just get on with it. We usually share a tiffin lunch together in the small room we use for an office. It is a simple life and we don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We just focus on getting the tools ready and making sure the work is done properly.
