Krishna Fabricators

Our workshop is at Plot 470-2 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. Krishna Fabricators is basically a large shed where we do all our metalwork. When you walk in, the first thing you’ll see are the welding stations with their bright flashes and the smell of ozone. We have heavy steel beams and plates leaning against the walls, and the floor is usually covered in metal offcuts and grinding dust. It’s a tough environment, especially in the summer when the welding torches add even more heat to the room. We have a gantry crane overhead for moving the really heavy stuff, and you can hear the chains clanking as we shift pieces around. Most of the guys here are skilled with their hands, and they spend the day bent over workbenches with grinders and torches. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that; people just wear what’s comfortable for the job. Our 'office' is just a small wooden cabin built into one corner of the shed where we keep the invoices and some old calendars. We take our work seriously, but the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We talk about the local cricket scores while we work or share a pot of tea in the afternoons. People know us for being reliable and just getting the fabrication done without a lot of talking. It’s just a regular fabrication shop where we work hard and go home tired at the end of the shift.
