Kalyan Plastics

We are over at Plot No. 331-a-1-2 in the Gidc Ind. Estate, running Kalyan Plastics. It’s a busy place with the sound of the machines going most of the day. We work with plastic, making various items that people need for their businesses or homes. The plot is a bit of an odd shape, but we’ve made it work for the equipment we have. Sometimes it gets a bit loud in the shop, so we have to shout to hear each other, but you get used to it. We aren't a corporate office with a front desk; you usually just walk in and find someone on the floor working. We’ve been here in the Gidc for a while and have seen a lot of businesses come and go. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running. It’s not a glamorous job, and we usually go home with a bit of dust on our clothes, but it’s a good way to spend the day. We don’t do much in the way of sales pitches or fancy meetings. People know what we make and they know where to find us. If the door is open, we’re usually working. It’s a simple setup, but it gets the job done and keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We try to stay out of the way and just do our work.
