K. M. Chemical

K. M. Chemical operates out of the GIDC Estate at K-1, 331-a-1-10. Being in a big industrial estate means everything is about logistics and moving heavy goods around. We spend a lot of our time checking the drums and making sure the storage area is kept in some kind of order. It’s a lot of paperwork too, tracking what exactly comes in and what goes out to the different factories nearby. The air in GIDC has that metallic, industrial smell that you never really get out of your clothes even after washing them. We have a small team here, and most of us have been working together for many years now. We know each other’s habits and how we like the warehouse to be organized. It’s not really a place for visitors, just a functional site for handling chemical supplies. Sometimes the trucks get backed up at the main gate, which causes a bit of a headache for everyone, but we manage to get through it. We don’t do any big marketing stunts or anything like that to get attention. People who need what we have usually find us through word of mouth or an old business directory. Our office is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a dusty computer on a metal desk. We prefer being out on the floor anyway, making sure the loading is done correctly. It’s a plain, simple business, and that is how we like it.
