Jay Printers

Jay Printers is located at Plot No. 932 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you’ve ever walked through this part of the estate, you’ve probably heard our machines running. They make a rhythmic sort of thumping sound that you get used to after a while. We do a lot of paper work and ink jobs here. The floor usually has a few ink stains on it, no matter how much we scrub. It’s a working shop, not a showroom. We spend most of our time making sure the alignments are right and the colors don't bleed. It’s a small team, just a few of us who know how to handle the older presses and the newer ones too. Things get pretty hectic when a big order comes in, and the smell of fresh ink is everywhere. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. People usually just walk right into the shop area to talk to us. We’ve been at this plot for a good stretch of years. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just reset and keep going. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and checking proofs. We don't do much advertising ourselves, since the work usually speaks for itself when people see it around town. It’s just a regular local printing business doing what needs to be done every day.
