The Institute Of Fire Safety Disaster Management is located at Plot No. 801 Vcci Complex, Gidc Ind. Estate. It is right in the heart of the estate, which makes sense given all the factories around here that need to know about safety. We spend most of our time teaching people how to handle emergencies or how to keep fires from starting in the first place. The office in the Vcci Complex is usually filled with manuals and some training gear. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls; it’s more of a practical space where we can sit down and go over safety plans. Sometimes we are out on-site at other plots, but Plot No. 801 is where we keep our main files and meet up in the mornings. There’s a lot of talking involved in what we do, explaining things simply so everyone understands the risks. We aren't here to scare anyone, just to make sure they are prepared. The team is small but we have a lot of experience with real-world situations. It’s an important job, even if it’s not always exciting. We see a lot of the same faces from the neighboring businesses coming through for training sessions. Being part of the Vcci Complex makes us easy to find for anyone in the Gidc. We just do our bit to keep the industrial area a little safer. It’s steady work and it feels useful for everyone.
