India Wire Machinery Inc.

You can find India Wire Machinery Inc. over at Plot No. 966-1 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at, but it gets the job done. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of metal and the smell of oil. We deal with a lot of heavy parts and the floor is always a bit greasy, no matter how much we try to sweep it. The machines we work on take up a lot of space, so it can feel a bit cramped when we have a big project going on. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people who need us just find their way to our plot number because they’ve heard about us from someone else in the industry. It’s a small world in this estate. The workday starts early, usually before the sun gets too hot, and we try to get the heavy lifting done while it is still cool out. There’s always something that needs fixing or a part that’s gone missing, so we spend a lot of time digging through bins and checking shelves. We have a few older guys who have been here since the start, and they know the equipment better than anyone. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families when the whistle blows at the end of the day.
