Hemal Electromech

We've been at Plot No. 485 for a while now. The workshop stays busy. Usually, there's a lot of noise from the neighboring Himalaya Machinery. We do electromechanical stuff. It’s mostly fixing things or putting parts together. Sometimes it gets dusty, but that's just part of being in GIDC. My brother and I started this because we knew how to work with our hands. We don't have a fancy office. Most days we're just in the back. The Ashtamangala Ind. Park is a good spot for us. People drop by if they need a specific component. We keep a lot of tools around. It's not always organized, but we know where everything is. If the power goes out, we take a break. Otherwise, it’s 9 to 6. Some days are slow, others we stay late to finish a job. We don't really do big ads. Just local work. The floor is concrete and we have a few old desks for paperwork. It's just a regular shop doing what needs to be done. We deal with motors and switches mostly. It’s hard work, but it pays the bills. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall down the road. That's about it really. We're just here every day, making sure things work for whoever walks in. It’s simple. The weather gets hot in the summer, so we have a few big fans going. They don't do much but help a little. We've seen the area change over the years. More shops have opened up around us lately.
