Our workshop is located at Plot No. C1-b-818 within the Gidc Ind. Estate. If you come by Glamour Jewels Pvt. Ltd., you will see a lot of people hunched over benches with small tools. It is very detailed work and requires a lot of patience, which not everyone has. We have been in this spot for a while, and the industrial estate is always busy with other businesses around us. The air usually smells like metal and polish. We don’t have a big fancy showroom here because this is where the actual making happens. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the soldering torches are going. We drink a lot of water and try to keep the fans moving the air around. Every piece we handle is small, so we have to be careful not to drop anything on the floor, or we’ll be searching for it for an hour. Our day starts early and ends when the light gets too dim to see the fine details anymore. It is a steady pace of work. We talk about the news or what we had for dinner while we work on the rings and necklaces. It is a nice environment despite the noise from the street outside. We are just trying to make things that look decent and keep the business running smoothly year after year.
