Our place is over at Plot No 454 in Gidc Makarpura. It is easy enough to find if you know the Vadodara industrial area. We spend most of our time dealing with surface coatings and making sure parts are covered properly. The workshop gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially when the machines are running full tilt. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start, and they know the equipment better than anyone. It’s a lot of manual work, prep work, and then checking the finish once it’s dry. We don't spend much on advertising because the work keeps coming in through word of mouth mostly. The yard is usually full of pieces waiting to be treated. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a receptionist, so usually, one of us just wipes our hands and comes to the door if someone knocks. It’s an honest way to make a living. We’ve had some rainy seasons where the roof leaked a bit, but we fixed that last year. Mostly, we just focus on the jobs at hand and try to get them out the door on time. Being in Makarpura means we are close to our suppliers, which helps. It is a noisy part of town, but that’s just life in a GIDC estate. We take our tea breaks together under the shade when it gets too hot.
