We operate out of Plot No. A2-630. It’s a big space but it feels smaller when all the components are out on the tables. There are wires and plastic casings everywhere. People think electronics is all clean and quiet, but it’s actually quite a bit of manual assembly and testing. We have workbenches lined up under the tube lights. Some of the equipment is newer, some we’ve had since we started. It’s a busy environment. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep things lively. The GIDC Industrial Estate is a good location for us because the suppliers are close. We spend a lot of time checking the connections and making sure everything fits together. It’s tedious work sometimes, sitting there with small tools, but it’s what we do. Our office is just a small partitioned area with a few filing cabinets and a computer that’s a bit slow. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and helps out. It’s a very hands-on place. We drink a lot of tea during the afternoon slump. It’s just us doing the daily routine, making sure the electrical parts are ready to go. No big speeches, just steady work. We often stay a few minutes late just to sweep up the clippings from the wire cutters and keep the benches clear for the next morning.
