Our place is located at 12 GIDC Estate, right near the Jupiter Choukdi. Being in a GIDC area means we are surrounded by all sorts of chemical and engineering plants. Elmex Controls Private Limited has been here for years, and the building itself shows its age a little. We focus on electrical controls and components. The workspace is filled with testing benches, soldering stations, and boxes of small plastic and metal parts. It’s a lot of detailed work, making sure every terminal and connector is exactly where it should be. We don't have a big corporate lobby with a receptionist. You usually just walk in and find someone at a desk covered in wires and diagrams. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, but we have some old fans that keep the air moving. Our team is small, mostly local people who live nearby. We spend our days assembling parts and checking them against the specs. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed or a machine breaks down, and we just have to figure it out as we go. We aren’t trying to change the world, we just want to make parts that don't fail when someone plugs them in. It's a steady, quiet kind of business. We know the other shop owners around Jupiter Choukdi, and it feels like a real community of makers and fixers who just get on with their daily tasks without much fuss.
