Bright Electroplaters

If you look for Plot No. 440 in the Gidc Ind. Estate, you’ll find us. Bright Electroplaters is right across from Jayant Oil Mill and fairly close to the Bhavana Canteen. That canteen is where we usually get our lunch most days. The work we do involves a lot of tanks and dipping metal parts into different solutions. It’s a process that takes time and you can’t really rush it. The shop is hot, especially during the summer months, but that’s the nature of electroplating. We have a couple of dogs that hang around the gate and we feed them leftovers. We aren’t some polished company with a bunch of sales reps. It’s usually just the owner or one of the senior workers answering the phone. We’ve been here at Plot 440 for a long time. We know the smell of the chemicals and the sound of the machines like the back of our hands. Some of the equipment is old, but it gets the job done. We don't have any fancy brochures. People just bring us their parts, we plate them, and they pick them up a few days later. It’s a simple cycle. We try to be fair with people and stay out of trouble. It’s just a normal day’s work for us. The floor stays wet and the lights are a bit dim, but we know where everything sits.
