Bearing Manufacturing Company

We are over at Plot No. 11 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. The name pretty much says what we do—we make bearings. It’s a lot of steel, oil, and grinding machines. If you walk into our shop, you’re going to get some grease on your shoes. That’s just part of the deal. Bearing Manufacturing Company has been operating out of this same plot for years. We have a few old lathes and some newer grinders that keep us busy from morning till night. The noise is constant—a high-pitched whine from the metal being shaped. We don't have a fancy showroom or a sales team in suits. We just have our work benches and our calipers. We spend a lot of time measuring things to the millimeter. If a bearing isn't right, it's no good to anyone. We keep our stock in bins along the back wall, all sorted by size and type. It’s a simple system, but it works for us. The office is just a desk in the corner with a computer that’s usually covered in a bit of dust. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. We just want to make sure the machines are running smooth and the orders are going out on time. It’s a basic, hardworking shop and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
