You can find us at Plot No. 343-a in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It is a standard industrial unit, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we are mostly busy with switchgear parts and wiring. The air smells like hot solder and metal most days. We have got a small team here, and we all know each other’s habits by now. Some of us have been working these same benches for years and years. The Gidc area is always noisy with other factories nearby, so we just blend in with the background. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby for guests. If you walk in, you will probably just see someone in overalls working on a panel. We spend a lot of time checking connections and making sure everything fits into the housings properly. Sometimes a batch of components arrives late and we have to scramble to keep up with our daily schedule. It is just the way things go in this line of work. We keep our tools close and our coffee mugs even closer. It is a lot of repetitive motion, but you get into a rhythm after a while. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, so we try to wear good boots. It is a practical environment for practical people. We don't talk much while we are working, we just focus on the task in front of us until it is time to go.
