B J Enterprise

Out at Plot No. 749-7 in the Gidc Ind. Estate, you’ll find B J Enterprise. It’s one of those places that’s been around for a bit. We don’t have a big sign with lights. Just the name painted near the entrance. The area is pretty industrial, as you’d expect. Lots of dust and the sound of metal hitting metal. We handle a variety of things here. It depends on what’s needed that week. Some people think an enterprise sounds like a big fancy corporation, but we’re just a small group of guys in a workshop. We have a few desks in the corner for the paperwork, but most of the action happens in the middle of the floor. The lights flicker a bit when we turn on the heavy equipment. We just got used to it. Sometimes the delivery drivers get lost looking for 749-7 because the numbering in the estate can be a bit confusing. We usually have to go out to the road to wave them in. It’s a simple life. We eat our lunch together near the back window. The view isn't much, just more industrial plots and some stray dogs. But it’s our spot. We don’t put on any acts. We just do what we do and head home when the sun starts going down. It’s been that way for years and we don’t see it changing much.
