If you look for us in Makarpura, we are tucked away in the GIDC Estate. The address is 78/3/0/1, which sounds more complicated than it actually is once you get here. This part of Vadodara is always loud with the sound of metal and machinery. Our shop is no different. We have been at this location for some time now. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the equipment we have squeezed in. There are piles of metal scraps in the corners and the floor has those dark oil stains that never really go away. We start pretty early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It’s a small crew of us. We know each other's habits by now. Usually, one of the guys brings a tiffin and we share whatever is there during the break. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to answer phones in a fancy way. Usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks up the line. The work is physically demanding and your hands get dirty within five minutes of starting. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the actual work to care much about that. We just focus on getting the parts made and sent out to whoever needs them. It's a regular industrial life here and we like the routine.
