Analog Digital Intrumentation

Our place is at Plot 962 in the Gidc Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but we like the spot. At Analog Digital Intrumentation, we spend our time with meters and testing gear. Some of it is old school analog stuff and some is newer digital bits. It’s a lot of sitting at benches with soldering irons or checking screens. The air in the estate always smells a bit like metal and exhaust. We’ve got a small crew who knows their way around a circuit board. It gets quiet when everyone is concentrating on a repair or a calibration. We don't really do much advertising; people just know we are here in the Gidc. The shelves are full of spare parts and tools that have seen better days but still work fine. Sometimes a customer comes in with something really broken, and we have to figure out if it's even worth fixing. We just give it to them straight. There’s no point in making things sound more complicated than they are. We drink a lot of coffee and talk about the weather while we wait for components to arrive. It’s a practical life. We focus on the gadgets and making sure the readings are accurate. That’s about all there is to it.
