Amrut Packaging

Our shop, Amrut Packaging, is sitting over at Plot No. 340 B 8 in the Gidc Industrial Estate. It’s a big area with lots of trucks coming and going all day long. We deal with boxes, wraps, and all kinds of stuff used to ship things out. The warehouse is usually piled high with cardboard and rolls of plastic. It smells like paper and glue in here, which I’ve grown to like. We aren't a massive factory with robots. We have some older machines that we have to mind carefully so they don't jam up. Most of the work is done by hand, packing and checking things before they go out on the trucks. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or trying to figure out why a delivery is stuck in traffic. It’s a lot of logistics and heavy lifting. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of that. If you come by, you’ll probably find me in the back with a clipboard. The hours can be long, especially when a big order comes in last minute, but we just get on with it. It’s a practical business. We provide the stuff other people use to protect their goods. It’s not complicated, but it keeps us on our toes every single day in the estate. We just keep at it until the sun goes down.
