We are located at Plot No. 272 in the Gidc Ind. Estate. It’s a chemical industry spot, so there is always a lot of activity involving drums and containers. The plot is a decent size, giving us enough room to store materials outside under the sheds. Working in the Gidc means you are always around other factories, so there is a constant hum of machinery in the background. We spend a lot of time monitoring the chemical processes and making sure the temperatures are right. It’s a job that requires a lot of patience and attention to detail. The office is just a small room at the front with a window looking out onto the yard. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are always wiping down the desks and the equipment. The weather plays a big part in our day; if it’s too humid, some things take longer to dry or set. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a good while now. We usually have lunch together in the shade of the main building. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We just keep to our schedule and make sure the drums are filled and ready for the transport trucks that come by in the late afternoon. It’s just how things go here at Plot 272. We have been in this same spot for years and the routine doesn't change much.
