Our place, Almin Extrusion, is located at Plot No. 876-2 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly just warehouses and factories. It’s a bit dusty and loud out here, but that’s the nature of extrusion work. We’ve got the machines running most of the day, so there’s always a steady hum in the background. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months, even with the big fans going. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It’s mostly just the shop floor and a small office space where we handle the bills and orders. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. The roads in the estate can be a bit rough with all the heavy trucks passing through, so watch out for the potholes if you're driving down. We mostly deal with local clients and other businesses around the estate. It’s a hardworking environment. We wear our work clothes and don’t worry too much about appearances. The main thing is making sure the products come out right. We usually have a lunch break all together, and that’s about the only time it gets quiet. It’s a decent living, and we like the people we work with. Nothing too complicated about how we run things here. Most of the guys have been working these machines for years, so they know exactly how to handle the metal. It’s a tight-knit group and we look out for each other on the floor.
