Akshar Calibration

We’re located at Plot No. 103 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. Our days are spent doing calibration, which means a lot of precision and looking at small numbers. It’s quiet work compared to the factories around us. We have a lot of tools and gauges that need to be kept just right. If something is off by even a tiny bit, it’s no good, so we have to be careful. The office is tucked away in the estate, and it’s usually filled with instruments waiting to be checked. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time sitting at the benches. It’s not the most exciting job in the world, but it’s important for the companies that use our services. We don't go in for big marketing talk; we just tell people what we found and give them the numbers. Sometimes people drop things off and they’re in a big hurry, so we have to work a bit faster to get them back on their way. The estate can be a bit of a maze if you don't know where you’re going, but once you find our plot, it’s pretty straightforward. We just do our bit and keep things accurate. It’s nice when the weather is cool because the lab stays more stable. We just keep our heads down and focus on the dials. It's just a small shop doing specific work.
