A D Machelan

A D Machelan is located at Plot No. 886-b. Being in the Gidc Ind. Estate means we are surrounded by a lot of other workshops and noise all day. We handle various bits of work that come our way, mostly stuff involving metal and mechanical parts for different industries. The shop floor is where everything happens. It isn't always quiet or spotless, but it’s where we get the real work done. Some days are slower than others, but usually, there's a stack of things waiting to be finished by the end of the week. We have a few guys who have been here for years and they know the machines better than anyone else. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. Most of the day is spent handling tools and making sure the measurements are exactly right on whatever piece we are working on. You can find us easily enough if you follow the road down to our plot number. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance, which is annoying, but we manage to get things moved. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do the job we’re given and go home at the end of the day feeling like we did it right. There’s always a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. That is just how it is in this line of work.
