N. D. Enterprise

We run N. D. Enterprise from our unit at C-1/B 336/27 in GIDC Makarpura. It is right in the heart of the industrial zone in Vadodara. Our place is basically one large room with some machinery and a small corner partitioned off for a desk and a computer. We’ve been here for several years now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up early, get the machines warmed up, and start on whatever orders came in the day before. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is loading material or cleaning up the floor at the end of the day. Makarpura is always busy with trucks moving in and out, so it can get quite noisy and dusty outside. Inside, we just focus on the task at hand. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just want to finish the work on time so we can get home. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which takes up time, but that’s just part of owning a small business. Most of our customers are other local shops that need specific parts or services. It is a straightforward way to make a living, and we are happy to stay in our little corner of the GIDC. It is not much, but it is our own space and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year.
