You can find us in Ranoli on Acharya Vijay Vallabh Marg, which is right near the Industrial Estate. It is a dusty part of town because of all the heavy vehicles moving through to the factories. Our shop is where we deal with all kinds of tyres, mostly for the trucks and cars that pass by. There is usually a pile of old rubber stacked up near the entrance. The smell of new tyres is very strong when you first walk in. We spend a lot of time on our knees checking treads or using the tools to change a wheel. It is physical work and we often have grease on our shirts by noon. The road outside is always busy, so there is a lot of honking and dust coming in through the open front. We have a small bench for customers to sit on while they wait, but most just stand around and watch us work. We don't have a fancy showroom. It is just a practical workshop with the tools we need hanging on the walls. Being near the industrial estate means we see a lot of the same drivers every week. We know which roads are bad around here and which tyres can handle the potholes. It is a straightforward business. We just fix what is broken or sell a replacement when someone needs it to get back on the road.
