Pooja Plywoods

If you come down to Old Lakkad Pitha Road in Madanzampa, you will find us. We are right near the Pathar Gate Police Chowki. Pooja Plywoods is a small shop packed with wood and sheets of all sizes. The smell of sawdust is always in the air here. It’s a busy road with a lot of shops selling similar things. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep as much stock as possible. Moving heavy plywood sheets takes a bit of effort, so there is always some heavy lifting going on. We see a lot of carpenters and builders coming through the door. The police chowki is a good landmark for people who get lost trying to find us. It’s a simple way of living. We open the shutters in the morning and start organizing the stacks. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because we have to keep everything dry. The floor is usually covered in some wood shavings. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It’s a straightforward business. We sell what people need for their furniture or construction. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We just show the wood we have available. We keep a ledger for the accounts and handle most things by hand. It works for us and our regulars who have been buying from us for years.
