Maa Chem Company

Maa Chem Company is located over in Wadi. It’s an industrial sort of area so it’s not very quiet around here. We deal with various chemicals and cleaning liquids mostly. Most of the time we are just filling up plastic drums or labeling jugs for the local factories. It’s steady work but you have to be careful with the smells. Some of the stuff we stock is pretty strong. The building is just a plain concrete structure with a tin roof. Nothing special to look at. We’ve been in Wadi for a few years now. The roads around here get pretty muddy when it rains. That makes loading the trucks a real pain in the neck. We have a small crew. Everyone knows what they have to do when the whistle blows. I usually spend my morning checking the seals on the containers and making sure nothing is leaking. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here. Usually, it’s word of mouth from other businesses nearby. We don't have a fancy office. Just a plastic table and a few chairs in the front room. Sometimes we have tea together before the big afternoon deliveries arrive. It’s a bit of a grind but it pays the bills for everyone. We try to keep the floors swept but with all the boots coming in and out, it’s hard. It is just a regular local business. We don't pretend to be anything else. Just Maa Chem in Wadi doing what we do every day. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we get by.
