M & D Pet Containers

We are over at C-1/249 in the G.I.D.C. Por-Ramangamdi area, right off N.H. No. 8. It’s a busy spot with trucks always coming and going because of the highway. Our place, M & D Pet Containers, basically just makes plastic jars and bottles all day. It gets pretty loud inside with the blow molding machines running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We started out small and stayed that way for the most part. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation, just trying to get the orders out on time. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial estate and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It's just part of working here. We handle a lot of pet plastic stuff, mostly for food or oils. The address is easy to find if you know the highway landmarks. We keep the floor busy from early morning. It’s dusty work but someone has to do it. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk tucked in the corner with a lot of paperwork piled up. If you walk in, you’ll probably see me or one of the boys covered in plastic dust. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines going. It's a simple life at Por-Ramangamdi.
