Down on Awza Road, you’ll find us at Lucy Electric India Pvt. R Ltd. It’s a bit of a trek depending on where you're coming from, but we’re here every morning like clockwork. The building has that industrial feel to it, which makes sense given what we do. There’s usually a truck or two parked outside loading things up. Inside, it smells like metal and that specific scent you get in workshops. We spend a lot of time on the floor or at our desks dealing with all the electrical parts. It gets noisy sometimes when the machinery is running, but you get used to it after a week or two. We aren't really the type of place that cares about fancy decorations. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the equipment is what matters. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we know each other's habits. We take our lunch breaks together when we can, usually talking about cricket or family stuff. It’s a straightforward environment. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the orders right. Awza Road can get pretty dusty in the summer, but the breeze is nice in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It's not a complicated life here, just honest work with wires and components.
